My name is Ashley Martin, and I am from Marion, North Carolina. I moved to Lexington, Kentucky in 2014 to pursue a career in the library sciences field. In 2017 I obtained my Master’s in Library and Information Science, from the University of Kentucky. I felt it was important to showcase my thoughts and works during graduate school through a professional website.
I have worked in Adult Services at Lexington Public Library (Lexinton, KY), Teen Services at Woodford County Library (Versailles, KY), and Children’s Services at Oldham County Public Library (LaGrange, KY). I am currently looking for library work to fulfill my passions of history and genealogy. Before working in the library field, I obtained my Bachelors of Science degree in History from Appalachian State University. I would love to be a Genealogy Librarian someday!
